“Stay Ready” by The Rev. Kaji Douša

In Second Timothy, the Apostle Paul writes about how he is being poured out as a libation. And writing to his friends from this Roman prison, we hear how he has this sense of confidence that even if his life were to end right then that he would be OK, because he has been pouring out his spirit in love and service. And as I hear Paul’s inspiriting confidence, I think, how do we get to that point of confidence, too, where we know that we have done everything we can to love and serve our God. You’ve heard it said to live every day as if it were your last. Are you prepared – are you ready – do you feel that you have lived your life pouring it out as an act of mercy, love and grace? Be ready. Stay ready, for ye know not the hour, Jesus says.
