Dear Church,

Thank you all for your energy and prayers as we passed our 2023 budget and nominations slate. I’m especially grateful to Bonnie English and our Finance Team, Richard Sturm and our Nominations Team. Thank you!

This week, we’re delighted to have the Rev. Meghan Janssen in the pulpit. I’ll be watching online and cannot wait to hear her word as we kick off the first Sunday of Advent: hope.

We’ve written beautiful devotionals for each day of Advent – I hope that you’ll subscribe, if you haven’t already.

Happy Thanksgiving! Blessings to you and yours.

Pax,
Pastor Kaji

Scripture: Genesis 1:1-5 (Year A, page 41):

1 When beginning he, God, created the heavens and the earth, 2 the earth was shapeless and formless and bleakness covered the face of the deep, while the Spirit of God, she, fluttered over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good; so God separated the light from the bleakness. 5 Then God called the light Day, and the bleakness God called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, day one.
