D4JNYC Statement on Texas School Shooting

Words are insufficient after 19 children and 2 adults at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas die at the hands of a mass murderer too young to buy a beer but old enough to purchase an automatic assault weapon. Words fall short in describing the lack of courage shown by public officials who place job security and security of self above the collective duty to keep our children safe. In the public realm, we all need to show bravery.

After Buffalo and Uvalde, Tx and 211 other mass shootings since January 1, 2022, it is time to call our Senators and tell them to pass the Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2021 and the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021 that have both passed the House of Representatives.

Then, because we live in one country and this must be the law of the whole land, we suggest calling a Senator from ANOTHER State and telling him or her we need their vote on this as well. Because we do. Click here to get contact info.
