D4JNYC Statement on Buffalo, NY Massacre

The delay in issuing an official response to the Buffalo Massacre which occurred on May 14, 2022, was due to our team springing into action to support faith leaders in Buffalo as they minister to the needs of the affected families and the entire Black community of Buffalo.  We are heartbroken along with the families and the City of Buffalo. What occurred in Buffalo is indicative of the FBI’s data which has repeatedly sounded the alarm about the increase in Anti-Black Hate Crimes.  We stand with many grassroots organizers in asking for federal legislation to codify the protection of Blacks in the United States.  We ask that our friends join us in this request.
