BELOVED AND PROUD’S PRONOUN LAB LAST SUNDAY

Beloved Church,

Happy Pride! This week we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots with our annual participation in the NYC Pride Parade. This has been a long-standing tradition for The Park of taking our faith into the streets and standing up for the rights of our LGBTQIA+ sisters, brothers, and neighbors. This year is a little bit different. The Park, Zen Center for Contemplative Care, Lab/Shul, and Judson Memorial have created an interfaith cohort called Beloved and Proud to host all of our Pride events. The Beloved and Proud worship is at 8:30am at Judson Memorial Church. This is a special thirty-minute service that will be multilingual, multicultural, and interfaith. After worship, we will walk to Sheridan Square at 9:15 and begin the march at 9:30. If you are an early riser, come down to Judson for Breakfast at 8am provided by the Mayor’s Center for Faith and Community Partnerships. We hope you will join us! If you can’t make it to Judson, a service of word and table led by our Elders will start at 11am at The Park. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Since we aren’t having a traditional worship, I wanted to share with you the call and response prayer that we will be saying together during our interfaith worship.

Friends, no matter what you have heard, or maybe even been told, you are a beloved child of God. Every bit of you is made in the image of God and celebrated here at The Park. I am so grateful for this community.

Shalom Y’all,
Rev. Stephanie

A quick prayer for your week: God, I am thankful and proud to be your beloved child.
