Children and Youth Ministry Update from The Rev. Cara Gilger

Last week we celebrated that our kids were able to get a slice of a “normal” summer and were off having adventures! Laura and I prayed for each of you and we look forward to hearing you report on your joyful end to summer.

This week we will be studying Romans 13:8-10 alongside the adult worshiping community and exploring what it means to love our neighbor as ourselves. Make sure your kids come with an adult Bible (sorry, the kids one doesn’t have this passage) and their Worship Box. We will be using our supplies to create something we can share with our neighbor.

As we prepare for Sunday’s lesson, families can discuss the following table topics during dinner to begin engaging this week’s teaching themes:

What do you think makes for a good neighbor?

Who are your neighbors and what’s one thing you appreciate about them?
