An Election Day Message from The Rev. Kaji Douša

November 5th,2018 Categories: Pastor Kaji's Blog

Tuesday, November 6, is election day, and as always, I want to encourage people of faith to show up to the polls, to vote their courage, their love, and their compassion. It’s not the role of church to tell you who to vote for, but it is the role of church to encourage you to make every choice that you have, out of your spirit of compassion, out of the question of whether or not the policies that you vote for, from the politicians who will carry them out, carry a spirit of love, love of neighbor, love of self, and love of community. Particularly, if we see that they are acting on the love of God, that compels them to bring forth policies that will help people, not hurt them. So, show up to the polls, November 6, vote if you haven’t already, vote early, show up early, if you’re an employer leave room for your employees to get there. This is our civic duty, and nothing could be more important. Thank you.
