I wonder about thirst – the casting out for what we cannot or should not have, the overwhelming sense of desire that has the tendency to overcome us, and I wonder if that sense of thirst isn’t actually beautifully Biblical – because I have a hunch – that each of us is harboring a point of thirst…. People of God, we do well to know our thirsts, and to talk about them with God.
