Dear Church:

This week, we continue to explore the different ways God reveals Godself to us. This time, the revelation comes to Elijah at a particularly desperate point in his life.

As you prepare for worship, I encourage you to read all of 1 Kings 19 to learn more about where Elijah was in his life. Have you been there? Are you there now?

Watch how God shows up.

I can’t wait to see you in worship.

With Love,

Pastor Kaji

SCRIPTURE
1 Kings 19: 11-13 (ILB, p. 206):

11 God said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of THE LORD, for GOD is about to pass by.”
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountain apart and shattered the rocks by GOD’s power—but GOD was not in the whirlwind. After the wind there was an earthquake—but GOD was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire—but GOD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.*
13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.
