A Message from Pastor Kaji

September 21st,2023 Categories: Weekly Letter
Dear Church:

This week, with the text from Revelation, we have a wonderful opportunity to reflect on what God is making new in our lives, community.

As you reflect on the scripture, I encourage you to ask yourself this:

What newness does your life require? What change is God inspiring to bring this newness to life? Hint: your answers to these questions are your own witness to resurrection.

God is absolutely incredible. And so are you. I cannot wait to worship together.

Pax Christi,
Pastor Kaji
SCRIPTURE
Revelation 21:1-7 (Year A, p. 440):1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her beloved. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

“Look! The home of God is among the woman-born.
God will dwell with them as their God;
they will be God’s peoples,
and selfsame God will be with them.
4 God will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Death will be no more;
grief and weeping and pain will be no more,
for the first things have passed away.”

5 And the One who was seated upon the throne said, “Look! I am making all things new.” The One also said, “Write, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 Then the One said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the thirsty from the spring of the water of life freely. 7 Those who overcome will inherit these things, and I will be their God and they will be my daughters and sons.”
