A Christmas Message from The Park
This year we remember the birth of Jesus, a child born vulnerable and poor and in migration, to parents who loved him, as an expression of God’s incredible love. And as we reflect on what that means for us, right now in 2018, as we head towards a new year, I wonder what God wants born in us. What does God need to make incarnate or to bring flesh to our lives? Do we need forgiveness? Do we need grace? Do we need peace? My guess is we need all that – and guess what – that’s what Jesus does. So, listen to the story of Christ, see yourself written in there as the object of his greatest love. But never forget, that it’s not just you, it’s also the people who are most vulnerable. And how is it that the world places God’s precious ones in a place of danger, of vulnerability, and who’s responsible. As you think about what can be born new, let you see your place in the order of things, to make this world right. Let’s start with you. Amen.
