Sunday September 10

Pastor Kaji returns to live, in-person worship this Sunday. Join us in worship as we welcome her back from sabbatical and listen to this week’s message.
Scripture: Matthew 18:1-7 (Year A, p. 464):1 In that hour [that Jesus taught about taxes] the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who then is the greatest in the realm of the heavens?” 2 Jesus called a [girl] child, whom he placed among them, 3 and said, “Truly I tell you, lest you all be changed and become like children, you all will never enter the realm of the heavens. 4 Whoever humbles themselves like this [girl] child is the greatest in the realm of the heavens. 5 Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me.
6 “But if anyone puts an enticement to sin before one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for you if a great millstone were fastened around your neck and you were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of enticement to sin! Enticements to sin are bound to come, but woe to the one by whom the enticement comes!
