When we listen deeply, we are mindful of where we are in the conversation, but we don’t obsess about it. We don’t sit and plan out what we’ll say when it’s our turn to speak.
And what happens when we listen deeply is that we come to understand someone better. We learn about people because we want to.
Deep listening is an antidote to isolation. Nothing feels better than being seen, heard and loved for who we are.
