“Heaven & Hell” by The Rev. Kaji Douša

Jesus doesn’t talk about heaven as if it was a distant place. There is supposed to be continuity between heaven and earth. So when Jesus says “the Kingdom of God is at hand” he is bringing the rules of heaven to bear on earth. The two are together.  So. Church is meant to bring the experience of heaven, the blessings of heaven, to the people. Just as Jesus did and we are all called to do.
