Dear Church:

This Sunday, we gather in celebration and gratitude for those who have mothered us and those who mother others. Inspired by Ephesians 4:1–8, we’ll reflect on the sacred calling of mothering—not just as a role, but as a way of living rooted in humility, patience, and love.

Whether you’ve received mothering, offered it, or are learning to mother yourself, this worship is for you.

Join us as we honor these powerful acts of care through story, ritual, and a joyful post-service Pink Tea.

Pax Christi,

Pastor Kaji

SCRIPTURE
Ephesians 4:1-8 (Year B, p. 510):1 I exhort you all, I, prisoner for the Savior, to walk worthy of the calling to which you have been called: 2 With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 doing your best to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, 5 one Redeemer, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Parent of all, who is above all and through all and in all. 7 Yet each of us was given grace according to the measure of the gift of the Messiah. 8 Therefore it is said,
When God ascended on high she took captivity captive;
she gave gifts to her people.
