A Message from Pastor Kaji
I am overwhelmed with joy as we enter this Advent season! Last weekend’s worship and kickoff to the holidays with the Nutcracker were absolutely fantastic. I am so honored to have been able to be part of it all.
For this coming Sunday, I will be taking a day of much needed rest and family-time. As always, abundant thanks to the Elders and Deacons for their leadership in all of this. Appropriately, my reflections in the homily will be about honoring our elders and giving thanks for their wisdom.
As you prepare for worship, I encourage you to think about the great sources of wisdom in your life. Have you thanked them aloud? Even as I ask this, I am reminded that I need to do the same. What a perfect season for this.
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones. We love you!
Pax Christi,
Pastor Kaji
SCRIPTURE
Zecharaiah 8:3-5 (Year C, p. 1):
3 Thus says the RULER of the multitudes of heaven: I will return to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall be called “The Faithful City” and the mountain of the SOVEREIGN of the vanguard of heaven shall be called “The Holy Mountain.” 4 Thus says the HOLY ONE of heaven’s armies: Elder women and elder men shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of their great age. 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of girls and boys playing in its streets.
