A Message from Pastor Kaji

Many of us, at many times, imagine God as a puppet-master, controlling our every move. I love our message from Proverbs as a corrective. The Bible is consistent: God sets us free. 

In worship this week, we will explore this, asking the question: would you rather see yourself as controlled by God, like a puppet? Or free? 

As we consider this, I invite you to take a look at the scene from the latest film adaptation of the musical Chicago, We Both Reached for the Gun. I will use this as an illustration for our reflection.
