The message of the cross is not about a “feeling.” The message of the cross is about a God who came down and was made incarnate, to come and walk with us and see what life was like. To know those moments of joy, certainly – to celebrate and break bread with people – but also to say that no matter what the worst circumstance is that you might be put in, God has been there with you.
