Sunday September 17

Dear Church:

This Sunday we continue our Coming Home season as we keep our study of Matthew 18 going. Something so remarkable about this beautiful passage is the incredible extent to which God will go to bring us back.

As you prepare for worship, I encourage you to think of times when you’ve witnessed God reaching deep for you. Our theme for Sunday is: reckless love.

Can’t wait to see you in worship!

Pax,
Pastor Kaji

Scripture: Matthew 18:10-14 (Year A, p. 470):

10 [Jesus said,] “See to it that you do not treat one of these little ones with contempt. I say to you all that their angels in the heavens see the face of my Abba who is in the heavens all day [every day]. 12 What do you all think? If a person had one hundred sheep and one of them wandered off, would they not leave the ninety-nine on the mountain and go in search for the one that wandered off? 13 If they find it, truly I tell you all that they rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine who did not wander off. 14 In the same way, it is not the will of your Abba who is in the heavens that one of these little ones should be lost.”
