Greetings Park Family,

Happy Black History Month!

The youth had a wonderful fellowship experience; we began our time diving deeper into the second stanza of the Black National Anthem, “Lift Every Voice And Sing” and discussed the historical significance and how it’s key artifact to Black history. We primarily spent some time talking about the power of God moving with us in “weary times” and good times. For the rest of the month, we’ll dive deeper into the stanzas of the entire song.

Today, I decided to step into an activity honoring love, especially self-love. So, both 10AM (older group) and 10:30AM (younger group) were tasked to write themselves a small love letter highlighting characteristics they love about themselves and draw a picture about how they see love in their lives. It was a very beautiful experience as we shared some things about their personality and character traits.

This Sunday, 10 am (4th grade or older) will dive deep into Luke 7:31-35. 10:30am (3rd grade or younger) will explore, Proverbs 30:8, “Our Daily Bread” in The Tiny Truths Wonder and Wisdom.
