Children and Youth Ministry Update from Kelsey Creech, Resident Seminarian

July 16th,2021 Categories: Latest News
Last Sunday, the older children dropped some wisdom on me as we read the first chapter of Wisdom of Solomon in our Inclusive Language Bibles. We talked about what wisdom is and made note of some of the important points made in that scripture. Things like: God only reveals Godself to those who trust God, Nothing can be kept secret from God, and Justice and Selflessness are the best ways to live.

After that, the younger children, Mr. Trevor and I read “God Loves What is Right and Fair” in our Tiny Truths: Wonder & Wisdom book. We spent time in fellowship, in prayer, singing, and said goodbye with a blessing.

This week, we will not have Children’s Worship as most of our children will be out of town. We will also be taking a break for the month of August, but we’re looking forward to our final  Sunday together of this summer (July 25) and the fall!

This week, I pray that you all experience how loved and appreciated you are.  I am grateful for this community of faith, and I look forward to more time together!

Joyfully yours,
Kelsey Creech, Resident Seminarian
